A Tribute to Robert Kokotailo
The Canadian Association of Numismatic Dealers (CAND) proudly recognizes the lasting contributions of Robert Kokotailo, a long-time member and dedicated supporter of the association.
Many collectors and dealers knew Robert as the owner of Calgary Coins, where he earned an amazing reputation for knowledge, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to serving the hobby. Within CAND, he generously contributed his time and expertise over many years, including creating and maintaining the association’s original website. His efforts helped establish CAND’s online presence and provided an important resource for members, collectors, and the public.
Although Robert is no longer with us, his influence continues to be felt throughout the association and the numismatic community. He believed in the values that continue to guide CAND today – integrity, trust, and professionalism – and his contributions helped strengthen the organization for future generations.
As we look to the future, we do so with appreciation for the foundation Robert helped build. We thank him for his many contributions to CAND and to the hobby, and we are proud to recognize his enduring legacy.
